Take Consistent Action
Hope is not a strategy
Special Ops Pilot
I have been reading Bonita Norris’s book The Girl that climbed Everestl; its been such a great read, I became a little obsessed with the mountain and the people who have climbed, or been plighted in their quest.
However, with all the stories the same theme runs true, without the vision, the right equipment, the training, the drive or the belief not one person would set out to climb to the roof of the world.
It takes a strategy, a guide, immense determination and consistent daily action to make it possible otherwise failure is possible.
Let’s consider something more simple, the weekly menu planning; are you the type of Mum that sets out to the supermarket with the children and drops random items into the trolley, ending up with no actual meals when you unpack later with a load of rubbish the children have sneaked in. Or are you the Mum, like my sister, who spends up to an hour planning meals, ensuring the food left in the fridge is used and heads off with list, reusable bags in hand along with token or pound for the trolley?
I fall in between the extremes. I do plan the weeks meals but do often forget the token so end up with a basket that gets very heavy, I regularly have my children with
me ‘Mum can we have this please’, 'ooo, this looks nice Mum' - that shiny object syndrome. When I first arrived in the country I used to get completely overwhelmed going to the supermarket or 'stupermarket' as I sometimes call it. I prep the girls - right you can choose one thing and their will be no jumping up and down or bickering (if I have both) hence I create a boundary and try to stick with it!
The point I am trying to make is that by having simple systems in place allow you to feel confident and in control.
I have an abundance of strategies, systems and exercises to begin your action plan so you can reach your money goal this year.
